OCI Networking Architecture key builiding blcoks
- Region / Compartment
- VCNs / Subnets / CIDRs
- Connectivity / Gateways
- Load Balancer / Bastion
- DNS / WAF
- Compute / Database / Storage / VCN Flowlogs
Below are the high level steps to create OCI Networking Architecture
- First Choose the region
- Create compartment
- Add Availability Domain Specific Subnets in a VCN for say Web and App layer
- Then create the instances (Backend sets)
- with port 80 for Health Checks
- with port 443 for listner
- Create the Load balancer
- Create another VCN for DB Layer
- Create Database in regional subnet
- Access to Internet
- Internet gateway for public subnet
- NAT gateway for private subnet
- Peer the VCNs using Local Peering Gateway
- Enable DNS and apply WAF policy
- Enable VCN Flowlogs
- Service Gateway to connect to ADW
- DRG for Remote connection using and Fastconnect
